Impairment Rating Reviews
Premier has a network of credentialed, practicing physicians that are trained on the various editions of the “AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment” along with various State Specific Guidelines in order to ensure proficiency associated with each edition along with jurisdictional requirements. A thorough review is conducted on an initial impairment rating to determine the accuracy of the rating and an easy to follow report is provided detailing the correct rating for each compensable diagnosis. Our experience has demonstrated greater than 40% of all impairment ratings contain errors that can result in significantly increased permanent partial disability payouts. If a permanent rating is inaccurate, the Hartford study highlights the average error is 7 percentage points with each point worth roughly $1,500. The final report is easy to follow and provides feedback to the original rating doctor and can be used to assist with case management along with negotiations of final benefit payment.
